Freeway Fury 2 Walkthrough
Freeway Fury 2 is about a rage that we all share: The rage of slow traffic, and the desire that we all have to take care of it through often-drastic means. You finally get to play that out, in the comfort of your home, and without putting anyone's life at risk.
The object of this game is to make it through traffic by jumping between cars and taking control of them, and using the nitro you gain by doing so to make your car go faster, until you get to the next car, when it's time to jump out and repeat the process. The game play is rather simple. While you'll instinctively hold the Up key, thinking that it makes you go forward, you don't actually have to. The car propels itself and all you have to do is steer it with the Left and Right arrows; you only press Up when you want to use nitro, or if you're trying to jump to another car. You'll rack up points by slamming into another car at high speed, and for performing other dastardly deeds while on the road.
The main way to get points is to jump between different vehicles, which proves rather tricky at first. If you want to jump to the left or right, then you'll need to be directly next to the vehicle; positioning yourself a little ahead or behind the other car will result in your character becoming a pixelated pancake in short order. You can also jump to the car in front of you, and for this, you can leave a little distance between the vehicles. If you find the sweet spot of maintaining a little bit of room in front of you, you'll pull off the "long distance" achievement, which adds more points to your score. You can also jump in a diagonal direction. Your driver can't jump too far, though, so please be kind to him and give him realistic jump distances. If you ever miss a jump, it's game over right away, so be careful. Note that you can't jump backwards at all. If you find yourself in a group of cars, then pull off more than one jump before letting go of Z, and you'll see your score skyrocket.
If you can make it to the end of the track in less than 60 seconds, then you'll be presented with a summary of how well you did, and a chance to do it over and get a better score. Keep in mind that you can navigate the menu with the left and right arrow keys -- you don't have to click the buttons that say "Play" or "Restart."
Freeway Fury 2 is a simple game with a simple premise, but if you are usually frustrated by heavy traffic like our protagonist, then you may find yourself playing it for quite awhile!
