Bubble Shooter Walkthrough

Bubble Shooter is a puzzle game reminiscent of Bubble Bobble, the classical Neo-Geo arcade game. Now, you can enjoy the game without having to visit the arcade or download an emulator!

Bubble Shooter features simplistic graphics and minimal sound effects. The game does not feature any music, so you can listen to your own music in the background if you so choose. Sound volume can be controlled from the Setup menu, which is accessed by clicking the button labeled "Setup" to the right of the screen. You can also change the color of the background if you so choose. I was happy with the default color of the background, but a different color may be helpful for some players.

The objective of Bubble Shooter is to clear all of the bubbles on the board while scoring as many points as you can. This is accomplished by matching three or more bubbles of the same color. The more bubbles that you pop at once, the greater score you will be rewarded. If you allow a bubble to reach beyond the bottom of the board, then you will lose the game. The bubbles will drop one row towards the bottom of the screen if you fail to pop any bubbles after a set number of turns. The number of turns that you have to pop bubbles before they drop is given by an indicator located in the bottom-left corner of the screen, along with the color of the next bubble that you will shoot. When you run out of turns, the bubbles will drop one row, another row of bubbles will be added to the top of the board, and you will be given one to five turns to repeat the process.

Similar to its arcade counterpart, it is important to master the bank shot in Bubble Shooter. Matching bubbles above the lowest row can be very rewarding. If you are able to disconnect bubbles from the main body, they will pop, giving you a massive increase in score, and potentially popping bubbles that would fall and end the game!
