Bloxorz Walkthrough

Bloxorz is a puzzle game featuring 33 stages; the objective of each is to move your rectangular block into the hole to proceed to the next level. This is a simple concept, but as the game progresses, it becomes more and more of a challenge to complete.

Graphically, Bloxorz is a treat. The game features three-dimensional graphics presented from an isometric perspective. Each object in the game is textured with extreme detail, and transitions between stages are beautifully animated. The game does not contain music, but has suitable sound effects. This is a good thing because you'll need every ounce of concentration that you can muster to master this puzzle game!

Moving your block in Bloxorz may be confusing at first, but with patience, you'll get the hang of it. Your block is a rectangular prism: it may stand upright on one tile, or lie flat on two tiles. This is important in some situations, such as pressing down on the X-shaped switches that require you block to be upright, or traversing fragile orange tiles, which will crumble unless your block is lying horizontally across them. Finally, you block must end the level upright in order to fall down the hole to proceed to the next stage.

Bloxorz gives the player unlimited moves to complete the game, but completing this puzzle game with as few moves as possible is part of the challenge. If you fall off of the edge of the map, you will have to start the level from the very beginning, so be careful. Even if your block is lying horizontally, if one portion of it is not securely positioned on a tile, it will still fall.

Bloxorz does not utilize a save game system, but instead uses a code for each level. Remember to write down the level code for the level that you end up on in case you want to come back to complete the game. This level code may be entered on the main menu of the game.
