7th Inning Smash Walkthrough

Brought to life by Comedy Central, 7th Inning Smash is a baseball-themed sports game that aces the animation, graphics, sound effects, and controls departments. The cartoony graphics are top notch; the music is just catchy; the animations are smooth - what more can you ask for?!

Back in the good old days, have you ever got into deep waters for breaking windows when playing baseball in your backyard? Ever wished that you could relieve those moments - ruin all of the windows in sight without the neighborhood ganging up on you? If that sounds like a good deal, playing 7th Inning Smash is an excellent way to let loose. The objective of the game is to score as much as possible by breaking those windows, cars, and walls... practically everything in sight by hitting the baseball that is pitched to you. When you get started, you have 10 pitches. HOWEVER, for every four thousand points you score, you are rewarded with an extra pitch. Once all of the pitches run out (or if, unfortunately, you hit the pitcher, OUCH!), then the game is over.

With the control scheme as simple as it could get, playing 7th Inning Smash should be simple. Looking at the bottom of the game screen, you will find a compass like ring with an arrow or indicator. This arrow will always point where your mouse cursor is... showing you the ball's projectile when you swing and make contact with it. BUT that's just the other half of the equation. The other half is adjusting the power of your swing to sure you hit those feeble glass windows. To control the power of your swing, you need to move your mouse's cursor away from the compass' center. The farther you move your cursor, the MORE power will be applied to your swing. After making the appropriate adjustments, just hit the left click button when the ball is near enough. BUT mind you, you can't take your time in this game. You only have a couple of seconds at your disposal before the pitcher throws the ball.

Despite the easy controls and easy-to-follow (I hope) instructions I provided above, you may have a hard time aiming your swing and predicting where the ball would go. If that's the case, experience will be your best teacher. Take good note of where your ball lands after you hit it. From there, you should have a good idea of where the ball would go after some minor adjustments... allowing you to correct your aim and hit targets that are far away from where you are.

From time to time, you will see some bonus indicators or markers located at some windows in this baseball game. If you want to score 4000 points or more and get rewarded with another pitch, you should do your best to hit these windows. Also, you will find a kite or two appearing near the house's roof. Aim for those. Hitting a kite rewards you with a whopping 3000 points! Take out to two of them and you are guaranteed to have another pitch.

7th Inning Smash has only ONE level. How long you'll last and how much points you earn depends on how good your swings are. It takes practice... play the game again and again and you should be good at it in no time. And trust me, with the delinquent sense of humor and addictive game play, you almost have no choice BUT to replay that same level over and over. Have fun!
